Red Sox @ Orioles Preview
It's all tied up with 2 games left in the season. I am not going to go down the road of why we have got to this point, because we could have the whole offseason to talk about that soon enough. What matters is it's Bedard vs. Britton tonight.
Bedard is making his first start at Camden Yards since his last game for Baltimore in 2007. He has enjoyed nice success in the stadium with a 3.56 ERA there, which is lowest all-time among pitchers who have made at least 40 starts at Camden. That being said he only lasted 2 2/3 innings against this team last time he pitched against them, which is a bad sign since the Sox can't seem to get anyone to pitch more then a couple innings.
Zach Britton has won his last two starts. He was terrible in his first start against the Sox this season getting lit up for 8 runs in just 2/3 of an inning, but bounced back last time letting up just 1 run in 6 innings of work.
I am scared shitless, and I really just don't know anymore. Britton is a sinkerball lefty that could shutdown the Sox easily. Then again the Red Sox have guys like Ellsbury, Ortiz, Pedroia, and Gonzalez that should be good enough to get the Sox into the postseason. I am going to say they are going to win, but that really is just me being a fan at this point.
Red Sox win 5-4
Player of the Game: Ellsbury
