Did you notice something missing from Monday Night Football last night? ESPN pulled Hank Williams Jr.'s song from "Monday Night Football" after the singer compared Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler during an appearance on a FoxNews show earlier in the day. Usually I get mad about this stuff, and say they shouldn't pull the song, but if I was ESPN I probably would've done the same thing. You don't want this stupid inbred southener on your station.
What ESPN should do is buy the song from him and just have someone else sing it. I don't know if he would sell it, but it is a shame they lost the song. I mean it's not that big of a deal, but it is tradition. Still, if you are a company the last thing you want to be tied to is someone calling our president Hitler. Yes, he has the right to say it, but ESPN has the right to tell him to fuck off, and they did. Good for them.
