Quarterback Chad Henne is out for the season. Henne decided to have shoulder surgery and was placed on the injured reserve list yesterday. This is not a bad thing for the Dolphins. Henne blows and it's a chance to just move on. On top of that it's just one more reason why they will be in last place at the end of the year and be able to draft Andrew Luck.
If they get Luck it will be the first QB since Dan Marino who is actually good. If you read this site you know I think very highly of Luck, and I think he could be the one guy that could turn this franchise around. Basically be the Dolphins' Peyton Manning.
The Dolphins replaced Henne on the roster by signing veteran quarterback Sage Rosenfels, which is screaming "We just don't give a shit anymore", because if they did they could've gone after someone like Garrard or something.
Next season if they get Luck they do have some other pieces around him that could make them decent quick. Marshall, when he's not being a crazy asshole, is still a damn good talent. Bush is not an every down back, but if they use him right and get another good RB that situation could work out nicely. Fasano is a pretty good TE. On top of that I think this offensive line is going to be good with Long and Pouncey.
I am not saying the Dolphins would be a playoff team or anything next year if they get luck, but they could be in 2-3 years if they do get him.
