I have long complained that the NHL (and NBA for that matter) season is way too long. I have wanted less games, to make them more interesting. Even if they wanted to keep the same amount of games there is no reason for the paces of their schedule.
The Bruins last played Saturday night, and they don't play again till Thursday? That makes no sense at all. The NHL can turn around and have them play back-to-back games, and then they might have 5 days off.
I just feel like if NHL teams played every other day, or once ever 3 days they could shorten the season, so it doesn't end during the summer, which in my opinion is a stupid time to have hockey on.
