OFs Delmon Young is already out with an oblique strain and Magglio Ordonez is out with a broken ankle. I was never a Delmon fan but he was great in the ALDS and Ordonez may be aging, but he is a clutch hitter and can provide some sort of offensive output.
The Tigers are in a tough spot with Verlander's start getting cut short again and being down 0-1 in the series. If the Rangers offense gets going it kills the Tigers that they will be without two effective bats.
I want the Tigers to win because the story would be cooler, however, I'm not holding my breath.
