The posting fee to talk to Yu Darvish (this year's Dice-K) is roughly $50 million. Remember that's what you pay before you even start with whatever the contract you are going to sign him for costs.
Thank Christ, the Sox seem to have no interest. Right now the rumored teams are Rangers, Blue Jays, Nationals, Mariners and Royals. Out of that I think you can take out the Royals, they have enough young arms and really don't need to go spend crazy money.
Darvish has been rumored for years, he is just 25 years old and is supposed to be sick. Still, bringing these guys over hardly works out the way we all think. For every Nomo, there are a bunch if Irabu's.
Though if he grows back that awesome mustache from the picture above, I might be alright with the Sox getting involved.
